For the second straight night, the Carolina Hurricanes pushed one of the NHL's best teams to overtime. This time they got the win. Brian Pothier scored 23 seconds into overtime to give the Hurricanes a 4-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night. Carolina lost by the same count the night before in Washington.
Flames' Kiprusoff beats Senators 2-0 (AP)
Miikka Kiprusoff had a lot of help. Kiprusoff made 33 saves for fourth shutout of the season and 34th overall, and his teammates combined to block 30 more shots in the Calgary Flames' 2-0 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night. "Guys are paying the price and that's what you have to do if you want to win games like this," Kiprusoff said.
