Do you like my smile?

When I was 6 weeks, I was smiling, giggling and pretending that I understood them. Adults are very shallow he? I wish sometimes babies are all over the streets, then the world would be happier, more than one could ever imagine.

I’m 6 weeks here. What a crunchy smile!

At the hospital, I heard so many babies crying, so loud , so noisy and most of the time, I sang duet with them too, that’s all I knew to do. (*+*) Crying, sleeping and eating. What a life he? But anyway back to my blood results. It was ok, eveything was normal with me thank GOD I wasn’t sick at all.

Sleepless night begin.

Home sweet home. Mama and Papa took me home, my grandma also came and visited me at the hospital. She is a wonderful grandma, she’s always cheerful and always helpful. She came from not so far away country, just to help my mom and pap.

I was the big and super star at home. Can you imagine that? I was small , but they gave an enormous attention. It is really nice to be a baby, everybody likes you, everybody wanna hug and see you. They always say you are cute even you are not really cute hehehe ( with this wrinkled skin and small body). Adults can tell lies he? hehe. But anyway the most important thing is that they welcome me on this earth called Planet. (*+*)

During my first 3 nights I was crying so much, pooping, eating and sleeping. I really like being a baby, with nothing to worry at all. But mom and pap and grandma did a great job! I was satisfied all the time.

Just like most babies, I love to sleep too!

It was a great moment specially for mom! Yeah! At last I was out at 7:42 am and eventhough my mom was tired and sleepy she did a great job! My papa told me that she was half asleep when she pushed me out.

It was a bit strange for me when I got out from my mom’s thing. Whew!# I felt this soft thing that help me push out, because my mom couldn’t do it alone. Tsk…tsk..tsk…my tired mom got an episiotomy plus my poor head was sucked up with the vacuum extractor. When I got out, my head was like an ice cream cone. Well, thank God and to my mom’s doctor and midwife, they really did a good job. My head wasn’t to bad. After few hours my head was perfectly ok. I dont look like an alien anymore.

I was a bit blue. Because I was taking so long inside. But hey! I’m not a weak baby! I took a deep breath “aahhhhhhhhhhh” and cried as loud as I can ” waaaaaaaaaa” that made my apgar score 9/9 . “Is everybody happy now? I was crying so hard and so loud!! My mom was so weak and so hungry. She can’t even hold me good and pap couldn’t even open his eyes from the tiredness. And me? I was ready to eat and sleep again. And I’m rocking the world!

APGAR SCORE: Is a repeatable method done immediately after the childbirth. The midwives/doctors/anestheslogist assess right away the babies health condition right after the delivery. The test is done at one and 5 minutes or depends on the babies conditions. Scale from 0-10.

My first day

I heard every single word that my mom said, I felt every emotion that my mom felt. I heard papa too. I heard my mom’s girlfriends and other people that sorrounds me. They coudn’t wait to see me. They touched my mom’s cute belly. Yeah, my mom did great, she wasn’t big at all. I dont hear her much complaining about her big belly, but I always felt that she was hungry hehehe. Yeah because I was hungry too. I was getting bigger each day. Inside my mom’s belly was the best place. It was so warm inside, I felt secured, safe and strong. I can eat anytime, I can sleep and do things on my own, with no worries at all.

I also remembered my mom played music to me, yeah the Mozart music for babies. Because once I heard my mom, saying this” Oh com’n, get down, you have to get down, your head need to get down. It was my mom’s last trimester when the midwife told her that I was a breech. I felt my mom sadness. It was not a good news at all that I was breech! Whew! it was scared and I’m sure mom too.

“Hey people, dont bother me here inside, I’m ok here, my head is down already”!

When my mom knew that I was breech, she tried all kind of tricks, yup miracle could happen anytime. I remembered my mom, doin funny things.She puts the headphone and played music underneath her belly, to attract me down there, even belly dancing and putting cold peas on her belly. Whew! It was cold and Im getting deaf from the music Mama! But my mom never give up, she tried each day to talked to me and she did funny exercises, she tought it was effective,of course they prayed so hard too. My Papa is always there to supports my mom, rain or shine.

“Hard works and prayers paid off”

My mom and pap, went to the hospital to do the ultrasound, just to double check the midwife’s finding. When my mom laid on the table, the midwife palpated my mom’s belly and said “I think he’s head is down”. And the midwife did the ultrasound, here you go…I was laying comfortably, yawning and my head was down. Mom, I remember you were so happy to hear that, and Papa too.

Mom, was so afraid to do the EXTERNAL CEPHALIC VERSION. She wasn’t ready to do this procedure at all, just in case I was breech.

External cephalic version (ECV) is a procedure to change a baby from breech or other non-headfirst presentation to headfirst (cephalic). The physician pushes on the baby through the mother’s abdomen, either creating a forward roll like a somersault or a back flip.

There is also Caeserian Section, but wait! Whew!! that is too bad for mom, a cut belly, a hungry and crying baby on her side, that is way too much for mom and papa. I think I was already head down, when my mom’s midwife said that I was breech. I was just playing around inside my mom’s belly remember?

And Papa gave Mama and big kiss and a big big hug because my mom did great and me too!!
